Are you passionate about standing up for immigrant rights, against sexual assault, and other critical issues that affect the Asian/Pacific Islander community? Or are you just interested in having something fun to do this summer? This year, API Legal Outreach is hosting three exciting summer programs for Bay Area youth aged 14-18 and we want you to join us!
- Stand Up, Speak Up: Focusing on the roots of violence against women and girls, this interactive program will educate participants about standing up to rape culture through graffiti and spoken word! (Jun 15-Aug 6/twice a week/exact dates TBA)
- Recipe for Change: This one-of-a-kind cooking class will infuse food and API immigration history! (Jun 15-Aug 6/twice a week/exact dates TBA)
- API-ACT: APILO’s annual week-long activist summer camp, where participants will get intensive training in API history/current issues, legal rights, community organizing, and activism work. (July 27-August 2)
