FREE ALL-DAY IMMIGRATION LEGAL CLINICS

FIRST FOUR MONDAYS IN JULY 2007 [pdf] [word]

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will be drastically increasing immigration application fees on July 30, 2007. To help respond to the jump in fees, API Legal Outreach will be providing free legal consultations and assistance to low-income lawful permanent residents who are currently eligible and want to apply for citizenship (N-400) or to renew/replace a green card (I-90). API Legal Outreach’s free all-day immigration clinics will be held on the first four Mondays in July: July 2, 9, 16, and 23, in order to help low-income lawful permanent residents take advantage of the current lower application fees while the fees are still valid. This is a first come, first serve service and we may not be able to accommodate all interested participants. A $20 donation is suggested but not required for service.

To receive free legal assistance, come to API Legal Outreach’s San Francisco office located at 1188 Franklin Street, Suite 202, between 9am and 11am on any of the first four Mondays. Until we reach capacity, you will receive a same-day appointment to see an immigration attorney to make sure you are eligible to apply; if you are eligible, legal staff will help prepare and complete your application for citizenship or to renew/replace your green card. If we reach capacity for that day and you have not received a same-day appointment, please return the next Monday for the next clinic. You must appear in person to obtain the appointment. Do not call – you will not receive an appointment over the phone.
