API Legal Outreach offers free legal assistance to San Mateo County residents who experience intimate partner abuse. Individuals can attend a clinic to receive assistance in filling out the forms to request a Domestic Violence Restraining Order. No appointment is needed. Please arrive on time and plan to spend three hours there.

LGBT Domestic Violence Symposium

API Legal Outreach is hosting an LGBT Domestic Violence Symposium. Representatives from all social service, legal service, government and other agencies are invited. The goal of the LGBT DV Symposium is to establish a collaborative network of agencies to identify and address the specific DV needs of the LGBT community.

Topics of Roundtable Discussion
- Identifying specific issues and areas of need for LGBT DV survivors
- Addressing barriers to accessing existing services for LGBT DV survivors
- Collaborating to offer comprehensive LGBT DV services between community partners
- How to most effectively meet these needs with existing services
